Hi pianoanne, I'm old enough to have heard the original versions of the songs that are sampled into hits nowadays, so I find it quite frustrating sometimes to play a dj gig as I like to play the originals and like to play them completely (or almost). I'm old enough to be the father of the kids who request the songs - and who want to hear the 2007 remix instead of the 1970's or 1980's or 1990's stuff... I don't mind the new stuff - as long as it's really NEW, and by NEW artists, like some of the songs here in YS. But what's to complain, we get to remix here, so basically we do the same sampled stuff on Yourspins and I also use EJay and FruityLoops software at home, so I'm familiar with this. I listen the original song completely ONCE and then try to make it sound different - even if it's not always good for the song ;) But that's the point of remixing, isn't it, not just adding your tag to it? And for the sun, well today it's rainy, so...
