Formed in the shadowy dark recesses of a sweaty dancefloor in the crazy melting pot of Bangkok’s club culture, Futon’s "astonishing head-on car crash between East and West" (MTV) quickly mutated from it’s trashy electro roots into rock ‘n roll punk magnificence with the arrival of ex-Suede drummer Simon Gilbert. A couple of local No 1s later and the genetically engineered British /Japanese/Thai hybrid was headlining the biggest festivals in a country it had already outgrown.
