Alex Bluesound, a DJ name in Romania (formerly known as DJ 'Lex) has been "addicted to music" since he was born.
From the age of 5 he started listening to the top creators in the field of rock music: The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Uriah Heep, Ten Years After, Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, James Brown and the blues makers like Big Bill Broonzy, John Lee Hooker, B.B. King, ending with some fantastic names and creators like Leonard Cohen, Charles Aznavour, Vladimir Visotski, Jacques Brel.
Belonging to the younger generation he has, of course, been absorbed in the new tendency of making music using the great advantages of the computer.
He is very keen on everything he does – it takes weeks sometimes to create a song because he leaves nothing to chance: composing, mixing and modifying again and again, adding parts or cutting down until the final version of the song is ready.
Alex Bluesound won a competition in 2003 – it was about creating music not remixing – and he was selected from among 800 competitors, which shows his dedication to what he does and his consideration for those who listen to his music.
He wants to mention two names that have pushed him on the right track and who are always a guide for him: John Digweed and Sasha. Their work is not only for “having a good time” but for hard study! Whenever he listens to their exquisite mixes he feels “a little bit of a Londoner” himself.
